- Cal Smith, country music hit maker, died at the age of 81 in Branson, Missouri on October 11, 2013.
- Ramblin' Tommy Scott, who led the last real medicine show, died already on September 13, 2013, due to injuries from a car accident. He was 95 years old.
- Johnnie White passed away on October 4, 2013, in Los Angeles. White and his Sons of the West performed all over South Dakota/Illinois areas and were featured performers on WNAX's Missouri Valley Barn Dance. White later owned the Little Nashville Club in North Hollywood, California.
