Welcome to Mellow's Log Cabin. This blog's purpose is to supply information on a diversity of American southern music - ranging from country, blues, old-time and folk to R&B, rock'n'roll and rockabilly. I regularly present my research results about artists, labels, shows and also give guest writers a chance to publish their texts here on occasion.

New Bear Family releases

Bear Family will release new CDs soon. Apart from a Soul music series, there are again many releases containing country and rock'n'roll. All releases will be issued on September 1. Here they are:

1. Johnny Horton - Take Me Like I Am: Another "Gonna Shake This Shack" issue containing up-tempo songs by the Singing Fisherman.

2. Sons of the Pioneers - Way Out There: A six CD-set by the legendary cowboy music band. With a 16o page book!

3. Justin Tubb - Pepper Hot Baby: Just like the Horton CD in the "Shake this Shack" series.

4. Pat Boone - Pat Rocks: Pat Boone now appears in Bear Family's "Rocks" series. This CD contains all of Boone's rocking songs.
